Mountain Dulcimer:
D-A-d Tuning
  Learning a popular tune that requires the mixolydian mode (flat 7 note) in the B part.  A jumping melody played in drone melody style, learning chords for singing and a chorded melody that uses multiple chord shapes
Hammered Dulcimer:   Octave drones in D for both left and right hands, playing in 3rds, playing skip-skip-skip & triangle arpeggiated chords using different variations for 4 different verses.
