Dulcimer-Friendly Evening Prayer
and Advent Prayer
Wednesdays 7 pm MDT beginning OCT 6, 2021.
This class is bi-lingual, for both mountain and hammered dulcimer players. We'll learn the music for Steve's Evening Prayer Service, Advent tunes and then host a Zoom Advent Play-Along service in December.
A step-by-step over 12-weeks progressive approach yields the "stickiest" learning.
Screen to Screen Zoom Class, PDF handouts, .mp3 files for priming the pump and reinforcement, archive videos of classes each week.
Dulcimer-Friendly Evening Worship
On the Wednesdays in October we'll learn the musical portions of the 2nd Volume of my Dulcimer-Friendly Worship series as played by mountain dulcimers in DAA and DAd tuning, and hammered dulcimers.
Tuition includes a digital interactive PDF of this book with all the .mp3 sound files.
Hymntunes for ADVENT
on the Wednesdays in November we'll several Advent tunes from the 1st Volume of the Dulcimer-Friendly Worship series as played by mountain dulcimers in DAA and DAd tuning, and hammered dulcimers.
Tuition includes a digital interactive PDF of this book with all the .mp3 sound files.
ADVENT Play-Along Service
on the Wednesdays in December, we'll have a play-along service on Zoom for which we'll play what we've learned in October and November. This will be open to the public (but because we're on Zoom, you don't have to worry about other people's reaction to your playing!)
Steve Eulberg has over 40 years of experience
discovering, playing and teaching mountain hammered dulcimers. He earned a Master of Music Education from Boston University with a goal of teaching traditional music on traditional instruments.
The traditional way of learning is...
knee to knee or in our case, screen to screen.
Students will receive .mp3 sound files to listen before class to the tunes we'll be learning, together with the reinforcement of written tablature.
Finally, a video archive of each week's session is provided to students as well.
The Dulcimer Community is welcoming....
This course gives you the skills to enter into jam sessions of traditional music and hammer along with enthusiasm and joy!
