Dulcimer-Friendly Evening Prayer
and Lent Prayer
13 Wednesdays 7 pm MDT beginning January 12, 2022.
This class is bi-lingual, for both mountain and hammered dulcimer players. We'll learn the music for Steve's Evening Prayer Service, Lent tunes and then host a Zoom Advent Play-Along service in March and April.
A step-by-step over 14-weeks progressive approach yields the "stickiest" learning.

On the Wednesdays in January we'll learn the musical portions of the 2nd Volume of my Dulcimer-Friendly Worship series as played by mountain dulcimers in DAA and DAd tuning, and hammered dulcimers.

Hymntunes for LENT
on the Wednesdays in February we'll several LENT tunes from the upcoming 4th Volume of the Dulcimer-Friendly Worship series as played by mountain dulcimers in DAC, DAA and DAd tuning, some tunes require a 1+ fret, and hammered dulcimers.
Tuition includes digital interactive PDF pages from from this book with all the .mp3 sound files.
LENT Play-Along Service
on the 5 Wednesdays in March plus one in April, we'll have a play-along service on Zoom for which we'll play what we've learned in January and February. This will be open to the public (but because we're on Zoom, you don't have to worry about other people's reaction to your playing!)
Steve Eulberg has over 40 years of experience
discovering, playing and teaching mountain hammered dulcimers. He earned a Master of Music Education from Boston University with a goal of teaching traditional music on traditional instruments.
The traditional way of learning is...
knee to knee or in our case, screen to screen.
Students will receive .mp3 sound files to listen before class to the tunes we'll be learning, together with the reinforcement of written tablature.
Finally, a video archive of each week's session is provided to students as well.
