The hammered dulcimer is a wonderfully versatile instrument that lends itself to a variety of styles, from traditional fiddle tunes to piano concertos. While it's excellent practice and great fun to see how authentic we can sound, playing music written for other instruments note-for-note can sometimes leave us frustrated and prevent us from realizing the full potential of the amazing layout our instruments provide.   In this workshop, we will work on a new creative 5th-Interval exercise I have developed and we will practice implementing techniques into a couple of example pieces.
