Advanced-Level 4 Mountain Dulcimer Lesson-Nina Zanetti

The difference between that smooth playing and the choppy playing is the difference between these 2. Here's the first line again. We don't have to play that way as long as we do everything possible to connect the notes. And connecting the notes is you make your change at the last possible minute. So 202.
I'm not gonna do anything until the last possible second before moving up to the next note, the 4. You actually have to make quick changes with your fingers to get the notes smoothly connected.

Nina Zanetti loves to play what she calls the "softer side of the dulcimer."  This sample is Lesson 8 from her 13-lesson course entitled Playing Expressively for Advanced Players.

This course available to all levels of DulcimerCrossing membership, DIY, Workshop and Mentor and can be found on our site by searching by Teacher  [Nina Zanetti]; Instrument [Mountain Dulcimer] and Skill Level [Advanced-Level 4].
